PADI Open Water Scuba Certification
Flexible Training Schedule
Students create their own training schedule, with classroom, pool and ocean dive trips available 7 days a week. Meet weekdays, evenings or on the weekend for 2-4 hours per session. Progressing at their own pace, students can become certified in as little as 3 full days or 4 half-days.
Training and Facilities
PADI Master Diver Trainer, Colby Johnson conducts the class and pool training in Coral Gables, just South of Downtown Miami. Once completed, students are ready to make their four ocean dives over two half-day sessions in Key Largo. We offer students the smallest classes, the best dives sites in South Florida, the fastest boat rides to those sites, and 20 years of active PADI Scuba training experience.
Certification Offered
Divers 15 years old and older will receive the PADI Open Water Diver Certification, maximum dive depth is 60 feet. Divers 12-14 years old will receive the PADI Jr. Open Water Diver Certification, maximum dive depth of 40 feet. Divers 10 & 11 years old will receive the PADI Restricted Jr. Open Water Certification, maximum dive depth of 40 feet and they must dive with an instructor or parent/guardian. In all cases the course content and performance requirements are the same.
Our All inclusive PADI OW Certification Course includes:

Personalized, flexibly scheduled class and pool training sessions

Complete dive equipment rental- bc, regulator, weights and wetsuit

Four boat dives over two days- Key Largo or Miami sites

A personal dive log book with waterproof pages

PADI Medical Statement
Participation in a PADI Training course requires that the participant be in reasonably good physical condition and he or she must complete the PADI Medical Questionnaire. Please review the attcahed statement for more details. medical statement

Reservations and payment options
To schedule your course dates or for course pricing contact Colby at MiamiScuba@bellsouth.net or give us a call (786) 256-2056. A credit card (MC/VISA) number is needed to reserve your course dates although payment is not collected until the first day of the class.
Underwater Photos of Your Dive
Have your exhilarating experience captured so that you can share it with others. We'll photograph your dive and shoot video segments of your experience for just $45. Cancellation Policy
Our Scuba courses are personalized and flexibly scheduled. Therfore we require 48 hours notice to cancel a scuba course reservation with no penalty. Otherwise, a $200 per person cancellation fee will be charged. Dive excursions are weather dependent- trips may be cancelled due to weather/ocean conditions. If the student's time is limited, we may conduct the student's open water dives at a sheltered lagoon. This location is acceptable for OW training dives but is used only as a back-up option.
