PADI Discover Scuba Experience

Miami Scuba Ventures' Discover Scuba Course is an exhilarating, full day non-certification scuba experience allowing participants to make two guided ocean dives in Key Largo with a certified PADI instructor. Start with a private pool session in the morning around 9:00 AM, learning some basic scuba skills before heading down to Key Largo where you'll make two guided shallow dives from a boat in the John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, returning to Miami by 6:00 PM.

Transportation from Miami to Key Largo is limited to 4 passengers per trip so we suggest booking your excursion in advance. Door to door transportation is included from Downtown, Brickell, Coconut Grove, Coral Gables and South Miami. There is an additional $15 per passenger fee for transportation from South Beach (1st St.-25th St.) or $20 per passenger from Miami Beach (25th- 41st St). Of course, if you prefer to drive on your own, we can e-mail you detailed directions.

Full Day Experience Includes:

• Morning pool session with a private PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor
• Two boat dives at shallow dive sites in Key Largo (20-40 ft. deep)
• Complete SCUBA equipment rental, wetsuit and mask and fins.
• Transportation from Downtown, Brickell, Coconut Grove and Coral Gables
• A light snack and cold bottled water or juice on board the boat
• comfortable coast guard certified vessel and experienced crew

$279 for one participant / $239 each for 2 or 3 / $209 each for groups of 4

A credit card (MC/VISA) number is needed to reserve your trip date although payment is not collected until the day of your excursion. MasterCard, Visa, check or cash are accepted.

Underwater Photography

Capture your dive experience to share with family and friends. Photo Instructor Colby Johnson will photograph your dive experience for $60 or shoot an editied 10 minute HD video for $70. Images are color corrected and and burned to disc. Here is a sample video: http://youtu.be/ksBDv119VZg

Cancellation Policy

Our Scuba courses are personalized and flexibly scheduled. Therefore we require 48 hours notice to cancel a scuba course reservation with no penalty. Otherwise, a $125 per person cancellation fee will be charged (Discover Scuba Experience)

To reschedule a personalized lesson, 24 hours notice is required. Otherwise a $75 per person cancellation/rescheduling fee will be charged.

Dive excursions are always weather dependent and MSV may have to cancel a trip due to sea/weather conditions.
